Shreeji Temple, with its arches, pillars and red sandstone,It is made of red sandstone and has intricate hand carvings, beautiful arches, domes and exquisite paintings on its interior walls and ceilings. The red and white stones of the temple are believed to symbolize the love between Radha and Krishna. This temple has more than 200 steps which lead from the ground to the main temple. At the foot of the stairs leading to this temple is the palace of Vrishabhanu Maharaj with idols of Vrishabhanu Maharaj, Kirtida (Radha’s mother), Sridama (Radha’s sibling) and Sri Radhika. The temple of Brahma ji is also situated near this palace. In addition, there is an Ashtasakhi temple nearby where Radha and her chief companions are worshipped. Since the temple is situated on a hill top, the entire Barsana can be seen from the temple premises.
